QUETTA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stressed the need for solidarity with other nations and unity to thwart the wicked designs of internal and external foes against the country.
While addressing the provincial political leadership in Quetta on Tuesday, the premier said the enemy is employing various tactics to split the nation on sectarian and ethnic grounds but ‘we will prevent their plans with unity’, he said.
He deplored at the Indian statement over Pak-China economic corridor project. ‘Their statement has clearly exposed the Indian designs of hegemony’.
He also praised China for turning down the false reservations of India on the mega project.
The premier also said that the ‘government is determined to root out terrorism and extremism form the country’. He was of the view that Pakistan’s enemies are not glade at the country’s prosperity and development and want to slacken it through such incidents.
About ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb, the PM said ‘the operation will be continued till the burial of last terrorist’.
The premier also gave orders for the immediate detention of the hands involved in Mastung tragedy and bring them to justice.
Earlier, the participants of the meeting were briefed about the law and order situation in the province in general and Mastung incident in particular by the chief secretary Balochistan. At the conclusion of the conference, the participants offered fateha for the departed souls of Mastung victims.
