Altaf Hussain renounces Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan


LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has renounced Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan adding that from today he has no link with the MQM anymore.


Speaking to the private news channel of Pakistan and after that a statement came from the office of MQM Pakistan, Altaf Hussain has said that the Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad has no rleation with the MQM anymore. He was and is the representative of the Federal.


Altaf Hussain has distanced himself and his party MQM from Governor Sindh because according to Mr. Altaf:

“Today Rangers Sindh has given a notice of ten days to submit any kind of illegal and unlicensed weapon in the Rangers office and in case of default, the defaulter will be punished with the imprisonment of fourteen years. Karachi citizens were ordered to keep their NADRA Identity Card with them all the time. Pillion riding has been banned in Karachi by government until the by-elections are not conducted in NA-246. Government has impose Section 144 of Pakistan Penal Code in Karachi.” All these things and orders are happening in the presence of Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad.


He added that Rangers conducted operation on Nine Zero on March 11, 2015. Rangers raided on the house of my elder widow sister as well. Rangers alleged on us for keeping NATO weapons. Lot of arrestment and murdered took place in last two months. All these were happenings in the presence of Governor Sindh and  he didn’t say even a single word in this regard as a Governor of the Province.

Altaf Hussain condemned on government as well for adopting biased policies and attitudes against Karachi. According to Altaf Hussain, Tajik, Uzbek, and other foreigners are living in KPK. Did government ordered them to hold CNIC all the time? Despite the fact that terrorist are present in Islamabad and Southern Punjab, government is ordering to the citizens of Karachi to carry their CNIC with them all the time. Mr. Husain said we have no objection on imposing CCTV cameras inside and outside the polling stations but why all these were not practiced in Punjab, KPK, and Baluchistan during by-elections?

Altaf Hussain has requested to the journalists, writers and intellectuals to raise their voices on dual standard against Karachi. Meanwhile, he advised the Karachiites to keep their original CNIC with them on the order of government and hold their fire on the biased attitudes against Karachiites. He thanked to the religious scholars of all school of thoughts and minority communities for supporting MQM in NA-246.
