Left 4 Dead 3: A reference appears within the Counter-Strike 2 files

Counter Strike 2 includes a reference to Left 4 Dead 3. This is reported by a reddit user who shared what appears to be a screenshot of the new game files from Valve. Of course it is Commonat the moment.

more accurate, displayed image – the one below – displays the following messages: “version=2, owner=sort*, severity=high, priority=none, class=—, product=left4dead3, component=other”.

It’s impossible to say exactly what they mean, even if we admit that “priority = nil” isn’t promising. It should also be noted that it may be a kind of reference to a piece of code that was present in some versions of Left 4 Dead 3 that were used after Counter Strike 2 and that this release had a bug that had a “high” severity but that was not in the list of fixes (priority = nil).

It’s impossible to say for sure what this means and it’s not the first time Left 4 Dead 3 has been mentioned in Valve’s game files.

For now, we can only acknowledge the possible existence of these lines of code and wait for clearer information on this matter.
