Rome – Now it’s official, Tottenham Conte is out of the Conference League. UEFA confirmed this with a statement, awarding Tottenham a 3-0 defeat to Rennes, due to the inability to play the match. The match has been postponed due to several Covid cases recorded among Tottenham players and a recovery date has been tentatively set for 9 December. But in the end, it became impossible to restore the match.

“After several positive COVID-19 cases identified by Tottenham Hotspur players and staff, the 2021/22 UEFA Europa Conference League (“UECL”) group stage match between Tottenham Hotspur and Rennes – scheduled for December 9, 2021 in London, UK – has proven It is impossible to play.
The matter has been referred to the UEFA Oversight, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, for a decision to be taken in accordance with Annex J of the UEFA Europa Conference League Regulations (season 2021/22). Pursuant to Article 30 (4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations and in view of the urgent circumstances of the matter, the Special Chairperson of the Supervisory, Ethics and Disciplinary Body referred the case to the Appeals Body.
The President of the UEFA Appeals Body made the following decision:
To announce the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League group stage match between Tottenham Hotspur and Rennes, which was originally scheduled for 9 December 2021, as it was canceled by Tottenham Hotspur, who are therefore considered to have lost match 0-#3 according to Appendix J. 3.1 UEFA Europa Conference League regulations (season 2021/22)“.
