Killian Conway announced that she had tested positive for the Coronavirus

“Tonight I tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms are mild (mild cough) and I feel fine. I have started the quarantine process in consultation with the doctors,” Conway tweeted. “As always, my heart goes out to everyone affected by this global pandemic.”

Conway is now the sixth person to attend the event last week, as masks and social distancing have been rare, and test results are known to be positive afterwards. President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Trump’s senior aide Hope Hicks, Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee, North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis and Notre Dame University Reverend John Jenkins have all tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

Many of the guests of Trump’s announcement of his candidacy for Judge Amy Connie Barrett arrived at the party wearing masks, but as the Rose Garden event began, the masks were nearly non-existent.

Some top health officials in the Trump administration, as well as others in attendance, were seen not wearing masks or shying away from social media at the loudest event in the White House since the Republican National Convention in August.

CNN reporters note that the seats reserved for guests in the White House Rose Garden do not appear to be spaced apart by the recommended six feet.

This is an urgent story and will be updated.
