The governing administration on Monday banned 59 Chinese apps above countrywide stability considerations as India-China bilateral relations remain strained following the death of 20 Indian troopers in the Galwan Valley clash with Chinese PLA troops in jap Ladakh.

Other Chinese apps in the banned list are Club Manufacturing unit, SHAREit, Likee, Mi Online video Contact (Xiaomi), Weibo, Baidu, Bigo Stay and others.

TikTok on Tuesday explained it is in the process of complying with the Indian federal government order to ban 59 Chinese applications, including TikTok, and is not sharing any details of Indian buyers with the Chinese federal government.
