  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 5 kg of watermelon
  • 1 teaspoon of citric acid

We recover a watermelon and clean the peel with baking soda.

After rinsing them well with running water, let them dry and then cut the watermelon into horizontal slices. Then we reduce the obtained slices into wedges.

Once this process is completed, we take the glass jars we need and put the watermelon pieces inside.

At this point we boil a pot of water on a stove. When the water boils, let’s pour it into our glass jars.

Then let the lotion rest for a quarter of an hour and then, carefully, transfer the water to the jars in a large bowl so you don’t use it anymore.

All that remains is to introduce sugar, salt, citric acid, dill seeds and, finally, aromatic pepper into each jar.

We continue with the preparation by adding clean, previously boiled water to the jars and then closing them tightly with the lid.

Now we cover the jars with a blanket and let them cool for 20 or 24 hours.

After that we can keep the watermelon for a whole year.
