Hogwarts Legacy Is First Among Steam’s Most Desirable, Despite JK Rowling’s Controversy –

Hogwarts Legacy It’s the game most desired on me steam, which seems to be the most added to users’ wish-lists. Moreover, it also turns out to be one of the best sellers, able to take first place in the global ranking of the platform (taking into account only premium games), although the release is still very far away (there is only one month left until February 10, 2023, the day launch) and despite transphobic accusations against JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books and owner of intellectual property rights, leading to a request for a boycott of the game by LGBTQ+ circles, it was evidently not heeded.

In fact, given the interest the public has shown so far, Hogwarts Legacy has the potential to be one of the biggest launches of early 2023.

According to SteamDB, Hogwarts Legacy has been wishlisted by 252,527 users, currently the highest amount. The previous day follows shortly. The Harry Potter fan base is clearly indifferent to the words of Rowling, who has fully embraced the positions of TERF (to sum up: radical feminists who like to deny trans people some rights), making her narrative universe indigestible to some.

Another controversy involved one of Hogwarts Legacy’s senior developers, Troy Levitt, being accused of extreme attitudes and forced to back out so as not to harm the game’s image.
