Alfa Romeo, one of the Italian brands par excellence, may surprise you, because it probably did not exist in all of its history. The pictures leave no room for any doubt.
Alfa Romeo, much more than just a brand. We can say, an icon in the automotive world. And in truth, we Italians owe a lot to the baked creatures of the Italian company years. A concept of this nature, however, you may not have seen before and might leave you speechless: the Alfa Romeo Spider MX5.
Mazda MX5: A Car That Made Automobile History
Before delving into the mysterious main topic of the article, let’s talk about the Mazda MX5. A project, let us, no less unusual, produced since 1989 in four generations. It also has an intriguing history. It was designed in the late 1970s by American journalist Bob Hall, who proposed the idea to Mazda’s research and development managers.

It was strongly inspired by the English and Italian spiders of the 1960s and 1970s: notably Lotus Raylan, Triumph Spitfire and Alfa Romeo Duetto. It is the world’s best-selling two-seater sports car. In 2014, production totaled nearly a million, to surpass it in 2016. We’re talking about a truly special model: but what, other than various inspirations, should it do with the legendary Alfa?
