(ANSA) – PARIS, Jan. 04 – The government aims to put in place a timetable “as close as possible to what was expected” for the entry into force of a new “vaccination corridor”, equivalent to the Italian Super Green corridor, following the suspension. Surprise debate in the National Assembly tonight. Government spokesman, Gabriel Attal, denounced to France International the coordinated operation of the opposition, defined as the “Association of Irresponsible Persons”.
“Last night we saw the creation of some form of irresponsible association – said Atal – with MPs from La France Insoumise (extreme left, editor), National Rally and Republicans, to launch a procedural attack and try to blow up the calendar for the adoption of the vaccination card.” But, he added, it was clear that if the opposition was “successful in its intent”, “it is clear that we will move forward with the examination of the text and we will aim for the expected timetable.”
Atal described the joy expressed by the deputies after midnight when the debate ended with “enough shock”. He said he was “used” to such practices by the National Assembly and de La France Insoumise, while for Republicans, it would be a practice “aimed at masking what clearly appears to be a strong internal disturbance on the health card”.
