Fauci suggests Trump’s coronavirus coverage conclusions served preserve life

Testifying ahead of Congress on Friday, Dr. Anthony Fauci frequently credited President Trump for coronavirus plan choices that saved lives.

People measures involved Trump’s selections to ban flights from China, the United kingdom and the relaxation of Europe, and the administration’s “Fifteen Days to Slow the Spread”  quarantine policy, at first requested in mid-March and then extended to a full 30 times.

He was grilled on the policies one by a single by Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the prime Republican on the committee.

Also in the course of the hearing, Fauci informed the panel that the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t likely away whenever quickly — even though he was hopeful that a vaccine would be obtainable by “late slide, early winter.”
