A 72-yr-old guy, who went missing from the Indira Gandhi Worldwide (IGI) airport below upon his arrival from Kazakhstan, was traced to Ghaziabad and despatched to home quarantine for 14 times, law enforcement said on Sunday.
Harjeet Singh, a resident of Dilshad Backyard, arrived in Delhi on flight range AI 1916 from Almaty in Kazakhstan on Saturday and went missing from the entry gate of the screening corridor at Terminal-3 of the IGI airport, they stated.
The police were being informed about it by the Yamuna Vihar sub-divisional magistrate’s (SDM) workers.
They reported Mr Singh deliberately skipped the screening procedure, subsequent which he was to be institutionally quarantined, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Dwelling Affairs (MHA).
A scenario was registered under the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code and Epidemic Act, a senior law enforcement officer stated.
Throughout investigation, it was unveiled that the cellular cellphone variety and tackle presented by the passenger on arrival have been not in use. With the support of CCTV footage, the automobile in which Singh remaining the airport was determined, the officer claimed.
With the enable of the registration range and digital surveillance, Singh was traced to Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and despatched to dwelling quarantine for 14 days by the authority concerned, he added.
