US to enhance trade volume with Pakistan: US envoy meets Dar


ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has given justification that the government was not fully focused on growth and job creation while achieving the goals of macroeconomics stability.


The minister for finance has said so while having conversation with appointed US Ambassador to Pakistan, David M Hale who came to meet the Finance Minister here in Islamabad.

The Ambassador informed Dar about his efforts to promote profound economic and trade ties between Pakistan and the US. Hale said that it was one of his objectives to enhance the volume of bilateral trade along with bringing in further US investment to Pakistan.


He also asked for Ishaq’s support for these efforts, which aim to benefit both the countries.

Earlier, Dar appreciated the keen interest of the US Ambassador in extending investment in Pakistan and assured him of full cooperation of government of Pakistan.

The finance minister said that the government had brought in investor beneficial policies and foreign investors would be provided utmost facilitation, as having potential to play a vital role in acquiring the objective of economic growth.
