Pakistan Foreign Debt crossed over $65.60 billion

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Debt crossed over $65.60 billion by the end of financial year 2013-2014. While, Federal Ministry of Finance claimed reduction of $1 billion in debt by the end of financial year 2014-2015.

According to official report of Federal Ministry of Finance, the carried down debt of financial year 2012-2013 was $60.90 billion. There was increase of $4.97 billion in the financial year 2013-2014. However, the officials forecasted reduction of $1 billion debt by the end of financial year 2014-2015.

Documents also reveals the internal debt that was $93.97 billion by the end of financial year 2012-13 and raised to $109.20 billion by the end of financial year 2013-2014.

After this, the total internal and external debts of Pakistan stands at the sum of $174.80 billion and now every Pakistani is burdened with the debt of $971.11 or 98,325 PKR.
