Finance Minister Ishaq Dar stated that government intended to put in ten thousand MW of electricity in the national grid during its regime.
He was addressing a function related to Orange Line Metro Train project in the provincial capital on Monday, where he said working is underway of power projects having capability to produce twenty-four thousand MW.
On this occasion, he also termed the Orange Line Metro Train project as historic.
He also claimed that the current leadership under the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is taking the country to the right direction. He stated that economic indicators have been improved from negative to positive in the outcome of initiatives taken by the current government.
On the other hand, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on the occasion that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will bring in unprecedented development and prosperity for all the regions of the country. He added that energy projects being implemented under the CPEC will help in overcoming the energy crisis of the country.
