Blue defeats the ATP in Metz
Metz (France) – Lorenzo Sonego invades the blue ATP 250 Championship Final by Metz. Italian tennis player beats Kazakh Alexander Bulbek, who played only three semi-final matches before Stan Wawrinka retired, in two sets. The Torino player’s third ATP title in his first final in 2022
Sonego-Bublik: Blue wins the final
In the second set, the Kazakh gets nervous, and the Italian does not forgive stealing serve in the third game and immediately reach 3-1. Sure enough, Bublik loses his head and starts playing with a lot of contentment, Sonego doesn’t forgive and his focus on the challenge still shuts down at 6-2 with a Metz ATP title win.
Sonego-Bublik: The blue leader in Group A
Bublik starts strong and in the fifth game puts Blue under pressure: Sonego is good at clearing three break points to hold the score 3-2. Balance holds out despite the close fight between players with Piedmont who also sees a point set at 5-4 fade away. So a tiebreak is required with Sonego going straight to 2-0, hijacking the opponent’s first serve. Bublik isn’t there and immediately pulls the score, but it’s a flash in the pan: the Kazakh slows down and closes SOnego ul 7-3 to win the first set.
