An aperitif about Arabic poetry or smart cities, a talk with sports executives, simulation experiences, exhibitions opening: on Monday 26 September, the University of Macerata opens the dance with a series of introductory events in the light of the Sharper Knight, La Notte European researchers’ meeting of 30 September. For the fifth year The University participates, in cooperation with the Municipality of Macerata, through the Sharper project supported by the European Commission and coordinated by the scientific communication company Psiquadro, in cooperation with a national consortium of institutes, museums and universities.

Monday 26 starts at 17:30 in Law with “Sport and its Champions” with Lega Pro President Francesco Ghirelli, Football Agent Silvio Pagliari, Ascoli Calcio Sporting Director Marco Valentini, Vice President Recanatese Calcio Angelo Camilletti, Sporting Director of Crotone Football Club Fabio Massimo Conte and Marta Petti, sports management collaborator. The next day, again in Jurisprudence, 5pm, simulating the European Commission’s trial against the UK for its failure to implement the Ireland-Northern Ireland protocol while on Wednesday 28 at 6pm at CreaHub we will talk about immigration linked to climate change.

During the week, it will also be possible to sip a drink with Sharper-presented researchers at the premises of Basquiat, Bar Mercurio or Vere Italie. You can choose between topics of digital technologies applied to health, smart cities, or reading Arabic poetry. Three exhibitions will also be opened or opened to the public as part of the Humanities Festival – one about books to be browsed in the Humanities Department, another about the city being re-visited by boys and girls of foreign origin and the third, Photography in Sarajevo from a certain point of view – and will be open to the public.
