Abruzzo – Australia: Meeting between Santangelo, Poccino and Pappalardo, Consul of Italy in Melbourne

The Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, Hanna Pappalardo, welcomed the Vice-President of the Regional Council Roberto Santangelo and the Secretary of the Council Sabrina Boccino. At the heart of the dialogue was the role of the diaspora, also within the framework of the “Turismo delle Radici” project and the deepening of relations between Italy and Australia, benefiting from the relations between regional entities, such as the twinning between the municipality of L’Aquila and the city of Hobart in Tasmania. Together with the regional advisors, he was the head of the secretariat of the President of the Regional Council of Abruzzo, Bruno de Felice, the head of the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila, Reinaldo Tordera and the head of the Casa d’Abruzzo. Fernando Cardinal was also welcomed into the club’s consulate. On the same day, the delegation met the Italian-Australian members of the Victorian State Parliament, and were received by the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Mary Edwards.
