2008 Olympics gold medallist Abhinav Bindra led the way as shooting fraternity compensated homage to former India shooter Pournima Zanane who handed away lately just after a tough-fought battle with Cancer.
The 42-year-previous, who was a national document holder in 10m air rifle event, represented the region at many ISSF Globe Cups, Asian Championships and other situations. Later on on, following retiring in 2012, she took to coaching and was also honoured with the Shiv Chhatrapati Athletics award by the Maharashtra government.
