A compact smartphone on the horizon: that’s what we know

In recent years, smartphones have become more performing but at the same time, they have also grown in size and compact models are now rare, especially if you go and look at the high-end models but some surprises may soon come from a mysterious Chinese manufacturer.

Until a few years ago, smartphones with screens greater than 6 inches in diameter were known as a “phablet” while now the new models are unlikely to go down this far and this makes it difficult to use with one hand: it is not strange, if there are many. Those with little nostalgia for compact phones.

Well, in the last few hours the digital chat station has been up and running Twitter It was announced that this year there will not only be a new compact smartphone made by Meizu with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, but also another model made by a Chinese company that has not been named.

The alleged features of the new compact smartphone

According to what was revealed by the famous leak, this device should be able to rely on a technical data sheet that does not fear comparisons with current high-end devices. Features of the existing prototype should include:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor
  • 5.9-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate
  • RAM fools the LPDDR5 standard
  • Built-in memory with UFS 3.1 technology
  • Main camera with 64MP primary sensor
  • 4000mAh dual-cell battery with 65W fast charging support

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no further information about the potential features of this mysterious smartphone, whose alleged 5.9-inch screen lets it be considered compact compared to current standards but is still much larger than devices like the Sony Xperia Compact series.
